Nearsighted? Introducing Paragon CRT® Therapeutic Lenses!
An Exciting New Option in Eye Care!

Paragon CRT is a specially designed therapeutic contact lens that gently and temporarily reshapes the cornea while you sleep.  Through intense research and clinical testing, the CRT lens by Paragon has been approved by the FDA for patients of all ages for wear during sleeping hours.  The result for you is clear vision all day long whether you are wearing the lens or not.  The best candidate are adults and adolescents who wear soft contact lenses and glasses and complain of inconvenience, interference with outdoor and sporting activities, irritation from allergies, dust, and wind, care and handling problems, and lost or torn lenses.  This is also an ideal non-surgical option for patients interested in refractive surgery but do not proceed because of the fear of surgery, fear of poor outcome, fear of irreversitility, too young and cost.  This system is only available for people with myopia or nearsightedness and with for those with a certain amount of astigmatism.  CRT roughly costs one half of Lasik and is totally reversible should anticipated results not be achieved. I am also the only optometrist north of Concord who is certified to perform CRT.

Gas Permeable Lenses (top)

I offer the newest in GP lens technology to provide enhanced corneal health, enhanced acuity, and enhanced day-long comfort.  All lens types are designed specifically for your eyes here at Infocus Eyecare and manufactured by a local lab.  I also have all GP lenses plasma treated to improve comfort and tear dynamics.  The advantage of these lens designs and materials is that many new contact lens wearers and current soft contact lens wearers will easily transition to the GP lens to achieve excellent visual results.

Everyday lens is a single vision design ideal for first time lens wearers, soft toric patients or patients not happy with the end of day comfort of current lenses.

24/7 is an extended wear single vision lens ideal for the above patient who may sleep in the lens or over-wear the lens.

Versare is a multifocal lens that employs a break-through in presbyopic lens design.

For every GP lens that I order, I have a special plasma treatment applied to the lens.  This treatment is a cold gas plasma energetic process that transforms the molecular structure of a contact lens surface.  In simple terms, the lens surface is engineered to enhance wettability leading to greater end-of-the-day comfort.

Soft Contact Lenses (top)

One of the most important concerns regarding soft contact lenses is the amount of oxygen that reaches the eye.  I prefer to fit patients with soft contact lenses that incorporate the latest in materials technology to provide optimal oxygen conditions.  The newer lenses that I incorporate tend to decrease contact lens related dry eye allowing you to wear the lenses longer throughout the day with greater comfort.  I carry several lines of lenses for many visual conditions including single vision, toric (for astigmatism), and multifocal lenses for the presbyope.  When you order your contacts through Infocus Eyecare and 1contacts.com you receive excellent service, the peace of mind of having the correct lens, the convenience of having your order pre-approved, home delivery, and discounts if a year’s supply is ordered.

Preferred Lens Highlights
Proclear Compatibles by Coopervision including the spherical, toric and multifocal lens lines.  These lenses are ideal for patients experiencing dry eye symptoms.  Proclear lenses are the only contacts with FDA clearance for the claim: “may provide improved comfort for contact lens wearers who experience mild discomfort or symptoms relating to dryness during lens wear.”  In a recent clinical study, 6 out of 10 lens wearers found their wearing time increased with Proclear and 9 out of 10 preferred them over their previous lenses.
O2 Optix by Ciba Vision transmits 5 times more oxygen to your eyes than traditional soft contact lenses.  Improved oxygen reduces the end-of-day discomfort, irritation, dryness, and redness that is sometimes experienced with other lenses.  This particular lens allows enough oxygen to the eyes that they have been approved for 6 nights extended wear.
Focus Night & Day by Ciba Vision.  This is the first soft contact lens that has been approved for 30 day continuous wear even while you sleep.  Additionally, this lens are approved as a therapeutic bandage contact lens following eye injury or surgery to help relieve pain.  This is an ideal lens for active individuals who tend to sleep in or over-wear their lenses.
